Her products celebrate her passion for hair by creating a unique, ethical plant-based brand that is affordable to almost everyone. “I recall chatting to my best friend at that time and saying it would be nice to have my own Dark & Lovely one day.” “I started approaching big retailers in 2017 when I realised that South Africa was not comfortable ordering online,” Pooe said. That approach helped grow her customer reach.
