The French got off to the perfect start when Barcola won possession high up before calmly slotting past Gianluigi Donnarumma inside the first minute. Italy turned things around after the halftime break when Davide Frattesi finished off a well-worked move after winning the ball. The Red Devils opened the scoring after 21 minutes when Jeremy Doku raced to the byline before pulling the ball back for Kevin de Bruyne to slot home.
