The National Weather Service is projecting a lot more warm weather for the pacific northwest.
This after the stretch from May 9 to June 8, only brought .14” of rain.
Where do we go from here? The immediate forecast models are pointing to another stretch of dry and partly to mostly sunny skies. It puts the northwest with a 30 to 40% chance of below-normal precipitation through August. When it comes to the outlook for temperatures, large parts of the west are leaning toward warmer than typical temps for the next several months. Washington state has a 40-50% chance of above-normal temperatures. It’s too early to call for a return to drought conditions, but the current forecast says our wet and gloomy start to the weekend was some weather we may soon be hoping will return.
