TRUMBULL COUNTY, Ohio - The National Weather Service has teams on the ground Thursday to determine how many tornadoes actually touched down Wednesday evening.

The NWS said the tornado continued northeast to Oak Hill Drive, where downed trees damaged a couple homes. More tree damage by the tornado was found west of Mahoning Avenue, the NWS said, but likely dissipated before reaching the road at 7:06 p.m.Members of the department handled 15 calls within 30 minutes due to weather related events, CTFD stated, but the township sustained “only moderate damage compared to other communities.”
