Planned weekend closures on the M6 between Junction 33 and Junction 32 will no longer go ahead

: “We are sincerely sorry for the delays experienced by drivers on the M6 this weekend and will be reviewing the traffic management, signage and communications ahead of future weekend closures.”The second weekend was ‘paused’ as motorway closures were lifted ahead of the Queen’s funeral, but National Highways have now confirmed no further closures will take place.

“Some of our people will be on site overnight on Friday to complete work already in progress, however this will be done under lane closures – the M6 will remain open. “Once the new programme has been finalised with our contractors, we will share more information on the National Highways website and via our social media channels.”
