National disaster declared for KZN, Eastern Cape, Free State in wake of severe weather
National cooperative governance and traditional affairs minister Thembi Nkadimeng assessed the damage caused by severe weather in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday.
In a government gazette notice this week, the head of the national disaster management centre, Bongani Elias Sithole, said the disruptive rain, floods, strong winds and snow had a significant impact.
