The night began with Nathan Aspinall facing Rob Cross in the quarter-finals, and Mancunian star Aspinall marked his homecoming with a 6-3 win and a fifth consecutive victory over Cross.As impressive as Aspinall's victory against Cross was, it was his entrance and walk up to the oche before a single dart had been thrown that fans couldn't get enough of.
