“Over the last few years, we’ve been able to get a lot of positive things done for our district and to improve the quality of life for Islanders," said Jameson in a statement announcing her nomination bid. “I’m particularly proud of the work that we have done to improve quality, access and affordability of child care, our universal school food program and free school supplies for K-9 students and strengthening women’s health services.
First elected in 2019, Jameson has served as a member of the special committee on poverty in P.E.I., the special committee on climate change and the cabinet committee on policy and priorities. Jameson has previously served as minister of environment, water and climate change and as minister responsible for Charlottetown.
