During a conference call with Democratic colleagues on Monday, Pelosi urged her colleagues to refrain from impeachment proceedings. Meanwhile, Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris each said they back removing Trump from office.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi urged House Democratic leaders to continue their investigations on President Donald Trump following special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian intervention in the 2016 presidential election but to refrain from launching impeachment proceedings for the time being.

"While our views range from proceeding to investigate the findings of the Mueller report or proceeding directly to impeachment, we all firmly agree we should proceed down a path of finding the truth,” Pelosi wrote. “It is important to know that the facts regarding holding the President accountable can be gained outside of impeachment hearings.”

“If any other human being in this country had done what’s documented in the Mueller report, they would be arrested and put in jail,” Warren said, after confirming that she supports impeaching Trump based on Mueller’s findings. "I think we have very good reason to believe that there is an investigation that has been conducted which has produced evidence that tells us that this president and his administration engaged in obstruction of justice,” she said. “I believe Congress should take the steps towards impeachment.”

“Here is my concern: At the end of the day, what is most important to me is to see that Donald Trump is not re-elected President and I intend to do everything I can to make sure that that doesn’t happen,” Sanders said at his CNN Town Hall on Monday night.
