Those who tuned in to watch the interview took to social media to share their thoughts on Naga Muchetty's interview with union leader Mick Lynch

Some BBC Breakfast viewers have been left frustrated as Naga Muchetty chatted with General Secretary of the National Union of Railway, Transport and Marine workers Mick Lynch. Viewers took to social media to share their thoughts on the recent interview, with a handful of those who tuned in left branding the interview "utterly useless".

Mick had made an appearance in Nottingham this morning but spoke from Derby live on the show. It comes as strike action is underway across the country, forcing many train providers, including East Midlands Railway Service, to run a reduced timetable. It seems that 20,000 workers are taking part in the dispute over pay and working conditions and several could be seen holding placards in the background as he spoke, reports the Express. Although the strike will cause serious disruption for holidaymakers and those travelling to events including London’s Notting Hill carnival, the Reading and Leeds music festivals, some viewers were on Mick’s side.

A user @turner_kevin chimed in: “Naga Munchetty on @BBCBreakfast faithfully following the govt line on rail strikes in the interview with Mick Lynch. Lynch stands his ground and she looks foolish.” @HoH_NFFC wrote: “Well done to Mick Lynch, schooling Naga on BBC breakfast with her Tory misinformation and ignorant right-wing questions. #rmt.”
