He is now suspended him without pay and the sheriff’s office will start administrative action once the court case is completed, a Mercer sheriff’s spokesperson said Monday. “As sheriff, I have no tolerance for such incredibly bad and dangerous behavior by an officer,” Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler said in a statement. “Stickler has violated the special trust and confidence in his role as a law enforcement officer. Whether on or off duty, his actions should not reflect that of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.”
Attorney information for Sickler was not available Monday. Sickler joined the sheriff’s department in 2016.
