A Trenton police officer has filed an intent to sue the city over what he says was a Santa Claus doll left at his workplace with a handwritten note that said, “F--- Jews.”
The incident occurred on Dec. 12, 2022, according to the legal filing, called a tort claim. It is the first step in the filing of a lawsuit against a public employee or entity. Lawyers Clifford D. Bidlingmaier III and Robin Lord filed it with the city on Thursday.The officer’s name was redacted in the filing. Lord confirmed the officer is Jewish and said, “The filing speaks for itself.”
