Police officers from Hazlet and Holmdel were able to save the infant by administering him with naloxone, an opioid reversal drug, according to a news release issued Friday. Before noon on Thursday, police were called to the parking lot of the shopping plaza at Middle Road and Laurel Avenue for the report of a child undergoing a medical episode, prosecutors said. He was revived with naloxone, taken to a hospital and is now safely in the custody of a relative, authorities said.In a statement Friday, Hazlet Deputy Police Chief Robert Mulligan praised the police officers who assisted the baby, saying: “We couldn’t be prouder.
