EXCLUSIVE: Thomas Myhre tells ECHO Everton reporter Chris Beesley how this lessons he learned from Howard Kendall are shaping his own managerial career
Celebrating his 50th birthday today, Thomas Myhre was a relative latecomer to occupying a managerial hot seat in football.

Howard spotted that while I was doing well on the pitch, everything was probably not as good as it could be away from that.
“You have to see how you can have a positive impact on the group and I think Howard did that in that he saw the person as well as the footballer. In that aspect he was fantastic. Myhre’s birthday week will end with the 243rd Merseyside Derby at Anfield and the friends he made at Goodison Park ensure he remains a devoted Evertonian even if he’s surrounded by hordes of Norse Kopites. He said: “I have very fond memories of Howard, he was an exceptional manager. However, he also had me rooming with Big Dunc for my first away game so that was a steep learning curve!
