'I will never stop fighting'
The sister of murdered Blackpool teenager Sasha Marsden is urging the Government to extend the 28 day time limit for families of murder victims to appeal the sentence handed down on their loved ones' killer.
Katie says: "Minto was a risk. He was always a risk and if it hadn't been Sasha it would have been someone else. This was a sexually motivated, sadistic murder of a child. It fits the criteria for a whole life order." Since Sasha's death, Katie has graduated from university with the hope of joining the police to become a family liaison officer, after she received great support from the officers at Lancashire Police. However her application was unsuccessful due to her recent medical history, which showed she had been treated for depression.
