The good ol’ Wigan kebab There’s a reason why many see Wigan as the pie capital of the UK. Known across the land for its beautiful bakes, pie eating contests and general love for the staple savoury delight, Wigan and pies are as synonymous as Chicago and pizza. "This is world-famous," Alfie said of the dish. "It's called a number of things, there's arguments that it's called a Wigan kebab, but I call it a pie butty."
