'My family won £33m on the lottery - I want to build a mansion but neighbours object'
A MEGA-rich Lotto pair’s plans for a Hollywood-style city mansion have attracted almost 50 objections, we can reveal.with views of Edinburgh Castle.But architects’ designs for the “spectacular” development have not gone down well with many of their neighbours in one of the capital’s poshest districts.
Dozens have reacted negatively to an application submitted by the couple — who have shared in a £33million Lottery jackpot won by Lisa’s parents. Details published on the city council’s planning portal reveal there were 63 public comments submitted within 21 days.Only 15 consultations were made. The consultations appear to have been made to people who live in nearby properties.
Lisa and Craig snapped up the three-bedroom single-storey pad last year by paying £200,000 over the £670,000 asking price.It would include a zinc exterior, five glass-fronted bedrooms and a driveway rising from the garden.
