Anti-GBV activists Women For Change are calling on authorities to cancel Chris Brown’s SA concert based on his history.Anti-gender-based violence activists Women For Change have called on authorities – particularly the Department of Home Affairs – to revoke their decision to permit US singer Chris Brown to perform in South Africa.
“Hosting Chris Brown sends a harmful message to survivors of abuse and undermines the progress we are trying to make in addressing GBV in South Africa. “We must hold individuals accountable for their actions and work to build a culture that uplifts and supports survivors rather than glorifying those who have caused harm.
“With expert and cultural commentary layered throughout, the documentary provides thoughtful reflections into each survivor’s experience and the psychological destruction in the aftermath of their abuse,” read a statement by producers.the documentary will include the allegations of a woman – whose identity is hidden who comes forward with new allegations against Chris Brown.
