Emergency services were called to a property on Scorton Avenue to a report of an aggravated burglary shortly before 7pm. Three individual had entered a flat and assaulted aits inhabitant before making off from the scene.

Mr Hutchinson had suffered a suspected cardiac arrest. He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment, but sadly later died.Six people have been arrested in connection with the investigation. Detectives are urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward. “While we have made several arrests, we are very keen to speak to anyone with information or any witnesses who can assist our enquiries. Were you in the Scorton Avenue area around the time of the assault? Did you see anyone in the area acting suspiciously? Please come forward and speak to police.
