The hearing will begin with a motion from the U.S. Attorney's Office to nullify the plea agreement with Murdaugh. The motion was filed last week the on grounds Murdaugh had not lived up to his end of the plea deal. Previously, federal prosecutors sought a "guideline" sentence that would match the 17-21 years independently recommended by U.S. Probation and Pretrial adjusters. The federal sentence would also run concurrently with Murdaugh's state sentence.
