Caroline hopes to make lasting memories with her six-year-old son Luca
Caroline Dartnell knew something was wrong with her eyes when she struggled to focus on things properly around December last year. But after visiting her optician, she was told it was likely due to stress and was told to rest over the Christmas period and take a break from screens.
A glimmer of hope came when Caroline joined a trial for a new drug in Manchester, but tests soon showed the tumour was growing and treatment was stopped. Doctors said there was nothing they could do and devastatingly, she was given just six months to live. "It's just her and Luca and she wants to do as much as she can. We don't know how long she's got left."
