'Angel Wishes supported us so much during my daughter's treatment and now I want to help them'
A mum has launched a fundraiser to help a children's cancer charity that was a "lifeline" to her family during her daughter's treatment.
Speaking to Belfast Live, Suzie said: "During Cora's two and a half years of cancer treatment Gaye and Angel Wishes became a lifeline for our family and I don't think we would have been able to manage if it wasn't for her support. "It is difficult for others to understand exactly what you are going through unless they have lived it themselves and with Gaye having had her own tragic experiences losing two of her children, she is able to relate to our journey and the challenges we face."
She said: "After everything that Gaye has done for us I felt that it was important that we try and help them with whatever costs they may have while trying to get the holiday home ready for opening. Gaye Kerr said that she originally started Angel Wishes in the hopes of creating a small support group for families going through cancer treatment, however due to the level of support that was needed it quickly grew and became a registered charity one year later.
"I know that it is something that is traumatic for everyone involved and takes over the lives of families for years.
