Absolutely awful for her
A 27-year-old woman has opened up about her experience with a condition that is ‘taking over her life’ leaving her in excruciating pain.
“Endometriosis has definitely affected my mental health. I have felt so low and I can’t go on living in this much pain. I feel I can’t be the mother or partner I want to be and I can’t work like I want to. It can really take you to a dark place feeling so poorly all the time.” She says she has been told that the only way to combat endometriosis is to have surgery every six months but it comes with risks. Georgia continued: “I feel there isn’t enough support for people with endometriosis.
She says she would like to see more funding and research about the condition to discover what treatments work. In her experience, she says not all doctors have been in agreement with one another and a lot of information is out dated and many gynaecologists do not know enough about endometriosis.
