MTN and Vodacom will both have increased their postpaid contract prices by the start of April. Here is how some of their packages will compare.
Vodacom’s monthly subscription prices are going up by an average of 8%, while MTN’s increased by 8.8%.
MTN said increased demand had created the need for price hikes to enhance network resilience and deliver a quality network experience.Although both Vodacom and MTN’s average increases were higher than the 6% inflation rate of 2023, the operators said customers’ total increases would average to 4.6% and 4.3%, respectively.
All Vodacom TopUp bundles remain at the same price as the regular plans, while Vodacom’s Home Internet contracts received a price hike without additional data being added to the contract.
