Msizi Njapha announces his departure from ‘Umkhokha: The Curse’ and responds to rumours that he was axed from the show., the actor who portrays the character of Khulekani Mthembu on the show has confirmed his departure. Njapha refuted claims that he was axed.reported last week that three top actors from the show, including Njapha and his on-screen wife Angel Zuma, who portrayed Nomkhosi, along with Kwanele Mthethwa, who played Nobuntu, were given the boot from the show.
“I didn’t leave or get fired. I had a great time on the show, and I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunity and the growth it brought about. But the story of my character had to come to an end. It’s Umkhokha at the end of the day. Death is the centre of the story,” he said. Former African National Congress spokesperson and member of Parliament Pule Mabe is among seven people accused of corruption and theft.
