On Tuesday, the NSFAS board informed Parliament of its decision to fire Andile Nongogo as the funding scheme's CEO after an IT system collapse resulted in delays in student payments.
CAPE TOWN - Members of Parliament welcomed the firing of National Student Financial Aid Scheme CEO Andile Nongogo for breach of trust following a payment scandal.The NSFAS board informed Parliament on Tuesday of its decision to axe Nongogo following an IT system collapse that caused student payment delays.
“Just last night, the board of NSFAS took a decision to terminate the contract of the CEO on the basis and grounds of breach of our policies and breach of trust,” said board chairperson Ernest Khosa.
