Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Patricia de Lille faced off with MPs from all parties, who raised concerns about her involvement in the project which has now been declared irregular by the Auditor-General.

CAPE TOWN - Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Patricia de Lille has come under fire from members of Parliament for the now infamous Beitbridge border fence.

The minister, the SIU and National Treasury on Tuesday briefed Scopa about the failed project valued at R40 million. African National Congress MP Mervyn Dirks was the first to question this directive, saying that De Lille must also be held accountable.
