Uniformed police officers and local leaders stood side by side with family and friends of PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes at a memorial service, marking the 10th anniversary of the officers being killed on duty by fugitive Dale Cregan.
He lured the two officers to an address in Mottram in Longdendale, Tameside, with a bogus report of a burglary. He shot them dead and threw a grenade on their bodies.During a memorial service outside Hyde Police Station this morning wreaths were laid and minute's silence was held at 10.53am - the exact time PC Bone and PC Hughes were murdered.
