A community that holds a moving annual remembrance ceremony has dedicated this year’s tribute to their late city councillor and The Queen.
, the dignified annual event in Castlemilk, was held on Saturday with a special honouring of much-admired city councillor Malcolm Cunning and Queen Elizabeth, who both passed away this month.The tradition gives bereaved members of the community a chance to get together and remember those who have died in Castlemilk and beyond by transforming its main thoroughfare into a brilliant burst of colour and blooms.
This year’s poignant ceremony was held in the customary location beside the Lost Lives Memorial Garden, created to remember the area’s lost loved ones.
