One of the suspects also pointed a gun at a man in May and chased him, police said.
MOUNTAIN VIEW – Two brothers in their 20s have been arrested in connection with a series of gang-related crimes that started last fall in Mountain View, police said.
The first incident was reported Oct. 24 around 1 p.m. in the 300 block of Escuela Avenue. The brothers, ages 27 and 22, blocked a car from leaving an apartment complex and pelted it with large rocks, the Mountain View Police Department said in a statement Monday.About two hours later, one of the brothers brandished a gun at the same victim at Escuela Avenue and California Street, police said.
After a months-long investigation, detectives identified the brothers as suspects and obtained warrants for their arrest. They also learned about a third incident in May in which the younger brother pointed a gun at a man and chased him, police said.A search of the home turned up a rifle, a revolver, a semiautomatic handgun, gang indicia and other items believed to be connected to multiple Mountain View cases, police said.
Both brothers were arrested on warrants for assault with a deadly weapon. The younger brother was also arrested on a warrant for assault with a firearm. Police said they were booked into Santa Clara County jail.
