“The driver of the truck involved, a grey Dodge D350, was not injured,” said RCMP spokesman Const. Gary O’Brien in a release. O’Brien said he stayed at the scene and is co-operating. Alcohol and drugs have been ruled out on the part of the truck driver. Police say the motorbike was headed north on the highway when it crashed into the pickup turning left onto Oliver Road.Anyone who saw the collision or who has dashcam footage of the vehicles before the crash is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
