Police say around 1:12 a.m. a car and a motorcycle collided at that intersection near Eglinton Ave. E in Scarborough.
The motorcycle rider — a 39-year-old man — was thrown from the bike and was unconscious, according to initial police reports.The driver of the car — a 30-year-old man — stayed at the scene of the crash, according to a police tweet sent out shortly after the accident. He was driving a grey 2013 Hyundai Sonata south on Kennedy Rd, attempting to turn left at Transway Crescent.
“As the Hyundai conducted its left turn, the two vehicles collided and both vehicles sustained severe damage,” police said.“He had fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at hospital,” police said in a late-night tweet.tap here to see other videos from our teamPolice are asking local residents, business and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
