A Bafana Bafana international that Rulani Mokwena was keen to sign for Wydad Casablanca could leave him for a French side! Mothiba training with Wydad side Lille. During his five seasons there, he scored 20 goals across all competitions. Before that long-term injury, he had just got himself back into the Bafana frame. Now having recovered from that, Mothiba has been training at different clubs in hope of getting a deal.

Now at the turn of the year, the club he has been trying his luck at has been Lebo has obviously impressed at Wydad but it’s unclear if he will be offered a contract or not. Montpellier are fighting relegation this season and need all the firepower they can get upfront having scored only 15 goals in 16 league games. Reputable French newspaper L’Equipe are reporting that Mothiba was an option for Ligue 1 basement dwellers who are also believed to have also considered former Inter Milan star Keita Balde who now plays for Turkish club Sivasspor.
