South African motorists concerned with the rising price of petrol in the country have a broad range of fuel-efficient vehicles from which to choose for under R5,000 per month.
Second and third place are held by Suzuki, with its 1.0-litre Celerio and S-Presso consuming approximately 4.4 litres of fuel per 100km. The engine provides 61kW and 113Nm. However, it comes at the cost of a slightly higher fuel consumption figure of 4.9ℓ/100km.
