Flanker Siya Kolisi will lead a starting line-up with a total of 990 caps - three more than the team which began the 2023 Rugby World Cup final triumph over New Zealand in Paris.
JOHANNESBURG - South Africa coach Rassie Erasmus has named the most experienced team in Springbok history for the second and final Test against Ireland in Durban on Saturday.
The matchday 23 is unchanged from that which produced a 27-20 victory for the world champions over Ireland last Saturday in Pretoria, where the sides scored three tries each. "It is always tough facing Ireland. They are a quality team, they are ranked second in the world," said the coach. "We have been on the wrong side of the scoreboard on a few occasions too and we remember how it felt to suffer a defeat against them in the World Cup pool stages last year.
"This is going to be another physically gruelling match and, just like us, they will be determined to correct the wrongs of last week."
