The ridge of high pressure that brought hot temperatures to the Valley over the weekend is breaking down, allowing temperatures to drop into the low 100s to kick off the week.

These storms will bring more clouds at times, by the middle of the week and again this weekend but we won't see any rain in the Valley. Winds will pick up by midweek with Valley wind gusts around 25 mph, and gusts near 40 mph across northern Arizona. Phoenix reached temperatures of 110 degrees or hotter 55 days this year, breaking the old record of 53 days set in 2020.
