Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa says they would not consider the season a failure if they were to miss out on winning the CAF Champions League title, but assured supporters that they will give it their all to go all the way.
Going into their final Group A match against Sudanese outfit Al Merrikh at FNB Stadium on Saturday, Sundowns have already booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. All eyes are on the DStv Premiership holders after they beat reigning champions Al Ahly in both group matches, but Lebusa stressed that they are focusing on the process because there is still a long way to go. "I don't know if that will be a failure, but we are just focusing on the process.
"When we step on the pitch, we give it our all. Sometimes we don't win, but we will try again if it happens that we don't win it. But I think this season we stand a very good chance. Most of the teams are aware what we are capable of, but we still have a long way to go."Sundowns will have supporters in the stands at FNB Stadium for the match, with up to 50 percent capacity allowed for the clash.
"It’s a massive boost for us and the football lovers in the country. It’s going to be a great game for us with the fans. We are really happy that we get to play in front of them."
