More than 26,000 voters turned out to cast their ballot Friday in Ottawa’s municipal election.

Eligible voters have another opportunity to vote early on Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at polling stations in their wards. Election day is Oct. 24. During four special advance voting days at the end of September, 18,876 people turned out to vote, according to Elections Ottawa. That means a total of more than 45,000 people have already cast their ballots.
