Members of the Rail Maritime and Transport Workers Union (RMT) are set to strike on Saturday and again on September 2
Train drivers union Aslef is planning to strike on September 1, with a ban on overtime working kicking in the following day.
The RMT action is the latest walkout in their ongoing dispute at a number of rail operators – not including ScotRail – over pay and working conditions. “The reason for this is the Government has not allowed them a fresh mandate on which discussions could be held. The walkout by Aslef on September 1 will be the 12th day of strike action in their dispute, with members banning not working on rest days from September 2.
