After recent teases of it possibly moving forward, Oscar Isaac offers some disappointing clarification on his Moon Knight season 2 comments. Isaac made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut with the eponymous Disney+ series exploring the origin story of Marc Spector, a mercenary living with dissociative identity disorder who becomes the human conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Isaac scored rave reviews for his performance in Moon Knight, while the show as a whole also scored a largely favorable reception for its diversion from the normal MCU tone, action sequences and pacing. In the lead up to the show's premiere, main director Mohamed Diab and Isaac both downplayed the possibility of a Moon Knight season 2, with the actor noting his contract was solely for the initial season of the MCU show.

But at the moment, there's no official word. Will Moon Knight Season 2 Happen? Though Isaac's Moon Knight season 2 clarification may come as a disappointing update for those eager to see a future for the show, it's not inherently bad news. The former Star Wars actor has proven to be far more optimistic in recent months about his potential future in the MCU, having grown increasingly more hopeful about making his way back to the fold to play the character.
At the time of writing, the only live-action MCU show to earn a season 2 renewal from Marvel has been that of Loki, while reports have swirled of Ms. Marvel season 2 reportedly moving forward and What If...? season 2 set to premiere next year.
