Betts went 7 for 15 with six runs scored in the weekend series against the Red Sox, extending his hitting streak to 15 games.

BOSTON – Mookie Betts was the homecoming king.

Betts went 7 for 15 in the series against his former team with six runs scored and three-hit games Saturday and Sunday. Betts has at least one hit in 30 of his past 31 games, going a torrid 52 for 124 in that time with 13 doubles and eight home runs. Sunday was his 10th multi-hit game during this latest streak and the homer was his 35th of the season, matching his career-high set last season.

James Outman was at the other temperature extreme from the super-heated Betts. After bouncing into a forceout in his first at-bat Sunday, Outman had just two hits but 12 strikeouts in his previous 20 at-bats.
