Montreal police said the effort was based on “new facts” uncovered over the past few months. The information was reportedly based onthat examined the disappearance. It quoted people close to Ferguson who said they had suspicions about a man Ferguson knew who told them he had seen her downtown hanging out “with junkies.”
The two women interviewed also said the man tried to sell his car after Ferguson disappeared and had it scrapped despite it being in good condition.
