It was more bad news Monday for holiday travellers trying to get between Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal as VIA Rail said train routes connecting those cities remained cancelled on Boxing Day.

Both the OPP and Ottawa police reminded people to drive with caution according to road conditions. Leave extra distance to stop vehicles safely.Here’s the weather forecast for Ottawa from Environment Canada: Monday’s high of -5 C gives way to periods of snow around midnight. Expect about two centimetres, with a low of -11 C and a wind chill overnight that makes it feel like -14 C.

On Tuesday, light snow is expected to end around noon with cloudy conditions and a high of -4 C. The wind will make it feel more like -14 C in the morning and -6 in the afternoon.And by Thursday and Friday, temperatures are expected to rise, with a chance of rain showers or flurries and a high of 6 C both days.Article content
