Hikers using opened trails in The Railyard to stay active during the darkest time of year

The Monday Night Hikes are back again in Truro's Victoria Park. - Chelsey GouldTRURO, N.S. — Monday Night Hikes are back in Truro after a COVID hiatus, helping people get active during the winter and see Victoria Park in an entirely different way.

“We definitely missed it for those two years,” said Doncaster. “We were very much looking forward to coming back again.” “We thought we would not be in the park even this winter at all,” said Loretta McClellan. “We're so fortunate.” “Tonight was so beautiful,” said McClellan. “The stars and the moon and being with everyone – I'm just glad I came.”

McClellan and Doncaster are childhood friends and neighbours. The park holds a special place in their hearts.
