A woman is being held without bond after her seven-year-old son spoke to a neighbor and a sheriff's deputy, and she's being held without bond because of something in her past.

He also said the boy and his mom leave “around 7:20 a.m. everyday so that the defendant can walk” the boy to school.Christy Renee Creger Carnes, 47, was charged with child neglect without great bodily harm.Online records show in 2022, she was charged with battery-2nd or subsequent offense, a felony.
