Since joining the Brazilians, the 32-year-old has been one of the side’s standout players despite falling out with the team over a possible move to Al Ahly two seasons ago.
“If he has the things [necessary paperwork] he is valuable of course. Unfortunately, I don’t select the national team, that’s the hardest thing. [There’s] so many good players in this country, so I don’t even think if there is a good player available it should be a discussion,” Mokwena told journalists after his side’s goalless draw against Swallows FC.
