Moja Love accused of tricking Mashata’s family for their After Tears content
The memorial service, tribute show and funeral of DJ, comedian and MC Peter “Mashata” Mabuse were all recently shown on Moja Love ’s After Tears show, shocking family members who claimed they had had no idea they were being interviewed for it.The show, which débuted in 2019, documents the deaths and burials of popular people in different communities, as well as how their loved ones cope thereafter.
The insider further said that the family and people who had worked with the late DJ had never signed anything giving After Tears consent to film and air the funeral. Asked for release forms, the producer said that he had them. However, he could not produce them when requested to do so, claiming they were with another crew member.
“There’s no way that After Tears would have been called. Everyone was shocked and in fear when Peter was gunned down. We didn’t know who’d be next. It was a lot to deal with. We watched one another going through all that trauma. “Moja Love and City Press, are you together? Are you on my side or on Moja Love’s side? And what am I going to get out of this? I don’t understand,” she said.The mother said that, at the time of the filming, she had been grieving for her son and was unaware of what was going on around her.
