Modern Family's Ariel Winter says show 'didn't explore' Alex enough in early seasons
"I definitely was happy with the way it ended and my character arc as the seasons passed," Winter remarked."As Alex got older, I was definitely happier with her transition because when she was younger I just felt like we didn't explore other sides of her as much.
"I felt like we needed to. You know, there's more to Alex than just her studies. There's her social life, her social anxieties, her love life. "There's so much more to Alex and I think over the years, you know, seasons seven, eight and onwards, we really explored her and explored her life as much as you can in a family sitcom.
