Pholosong Hospital in Tsakane, Brakpan, is among the healthcare institutions that are experiencing water capacity shortfalls as the City of Johannesburg water woes worsen.

The hospital, which serves about 900 000 people, informed its workers and patients on Friday that it was experiencing water interruptions that are impacting on the availability of water at the facility.“The hospital has engaged the municipality to assist with supplying water through mobile tankers to fill our reservoirs.

Earlier in the month, the Gauteng department of health released a statement announcing water supply challenges at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital in Coronationville and at Helen Joseph Hospital in Auckland Park.
