Earlier this week, Fadlu Davids became the latest South African coach to move abroad after being appointed as the new assistant coach of Russian Premier League giants Lokomotiv Moscow.
"The supporters love the team and they will give him all the love that he needs. I never felt like I was not at home there even if at the time it was difficult because they were not used to black people and Africans. Mnguni still reflects fondly on his own experiences at Lokomotiv, which consisted of two goals in 14 appearances during the 2002/03 season, and he believes that the three-time Russian champions will provide a good environment within which Davids can succeed."It's is a wonderful team," the 48-year-old adds."When you come from Africa you expect more when you get there, and that's what they give you.
"I've said it before, and I've been saying it for a long time, we've got quality coaches here in South Africa," Mnguni concludes.
